Ocean Glass Bowl

A contemporary Ocean Glass Bowl inspired by my love of living on the South coast. A unique gift or treat ideal for those who like something original in their home.

I hope to remind you of the sound of the waves lapping on the shoreline.

I make each bowl in my Portsmouth workshop so no two will be exactly the same, each will be your very own piece of glass art.

Each Ocean Glass bowl is a one off.

It is suitable for snacks or trinkets although will be most enjoyed casting colourful reflections in a room.

Approximately 30cm round shaped.

The process….

I have cut clear glass to work on as my base and used glass enamel powder to create the Ocean scape. The glass is then kiln fired to form a smooth flat surface. A second firing takes place where the glass melts over a ceramic former to take the shape of the shallow bowl.
